Park House Inn Policies
Payment Sources: VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover cards (limited to one card per reservation transaction please) & Cash are welcome, sorry, NO personal checks accepted for payment. Without exception, all reservations require a valid credit card regardless of payment type. Deposit of one night room rate per reserved room booked. A 50% of total charges deposit is required for full house bookings and/or week long stays.
Cancellations: Once the reservation is booked and the confirmation email is sent, the following policies apply-if you have any questions about our policies please ask… we would be happy to discuss the policies with you.
An administrative fee of $25 applies to all cancellations. Cancellation requests must be made by phone 269 857-4535 directly with the Innkeeper, no email or voice mail messages requesting cancellations will be accepted. If you don’t reach the Innkeeper, please leave a voice mail for a call back. Guests who cancel reservation more than 14 days in advance (for one room) or more than 30 days for multiple rooms, are responsible for the administrative fee per room reservation cancelled. If any reservation(s) are cancelled less than 14 days from the first day of the reservation and the day(s)are not re-booked for the room cancelled, the entire cost of the reservation(s) minus taxes is charged. Full charges apply to any no show reservations and cancellations of less than 48 hour notice.
All bookings multiple room or full house bookings in June, July and August at the Park House Inn require a minimum of 30 days cancellation notice. Full house booking cancellations are subject to retention of the 50% deposit by the Park House.
Check in time is between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm (Please note: Michigan is in the Eastern Time Zone). For arrivals after these hours, please advise the Innkeeper so that we can greet you or set up self check in at arrival. Please advise the Innkeeper if you experience any unplanned arrival delays of more than one hour by calling 269 857-4535.
Check out time is 11:00 am unless previously arranged with the Innkeepers. All late checkouts not prearranged will be charged $60 per hour or partial hour after 11:00 am. If prearranged with the innkeepers $30 per hour will be charged. Late checkout is always subject to room availability.
Smoking: The Park House Inn is strictly NON-SMOKING. A minimum fine of $300 will be charged for violation of this policy without exception. Use of any tobaccos (legal or non-legal), cigars, vape pipes, or e-cigarettes are not permitted while in hot tubs or on porches or balconies, in gardens or any Park House property. (STATE OF MICHIGAN LAW PROHIBITS SMOKING within 25 feet of Park House Inn properties) Sorry, no Vaping or e-cigarettes on the Inn property or grounds.
Damages: Any damages to bedding, both in room and common area furniture,TV’s, DVD’s, or any other Inn properties and/or mechanical devices of the Inn will be assessed and charges made to credit card accounts provided when reservations were made for damages caused by misuse or negligence. Receipt of charges will be emailed to guest.
Mechanical Equipment: If malfunctions of equipment, plumbing, air conditioning or heating occur, please notify the Innkeepers immediately, please do not attempt to repair any equipment.
Hot Tub/Jetted Tub Caution: Use of soap products, body oils/scrubs bath salts in hot tubs/jetted tubs may cause malfunctions necessitating draining and discontinued use of the tubs. Please shower after lake swimming or massage services before use of the hot tub and/or jetted tubs to remove residue of oils and lotions.
Mutual Courtesy: During your stay at the Park House Inn, please be respectful of our Inn home and the other Inn guests present with regard to noise levels, late night use of common areas, parking, trash disposal, cell phone and all electronic device use. Please let the Innkeeper know of any disturbances that may be affecting your comfort or privacy during your stay. We of course respect all guest privacy and strive to assure a pleasant stay at the Inn for all guests.
Parking: One parking space per reserved room is provided on Inn property, additional vehicles, oversized trucks, boat or water vehicle trailers will need to be redirected for parking. When in doubt, ask the Innkeeper for direction. Adjacent parking is restricted for restaurant patrons of the Southerner.
No Show/NoCall: All no show- no call are billed for 100% of the booked reservation, plus a $50 administrative fee, no credit is issued for no shows. Future requests for reservation will be denied.
Dietary restrictions/Food Allergies: With advance detailed notice at the time of booking the reservation, the Innkeeper can plan to adjust menu items or offer alternative menu items that adhere to the guest dietary restrictions/food allergies. Advance notice is necessary so that all guests can enjoy breakfast as part of their stay.
